Illegal drugs worth P1,341,820 were seized by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) during its week-long operations from November 18 to 24.

A total of 15 individuals were arrested in nine separate drug buy-bust operations, the BCPO said in a statement yesterday.

This highlights BCPO’s ongoing commitment to combating drug-related crimes in the area.

In addition to drug arrests, the BCPO apprehended three of the most wanted persons and six others during the period.

The city police also conducted three anti-illegal gambling operations, resulting in the arrest of eight suspects.

As part of their campaign against loose firearms, the BCPO reported the surrender of two firearms, the confiscation of another, and the arrest of one individual.

The police’s proactive measures aim to create a safer environment for residents by addressing both drug-related offenses and illegal gambling activities effectively./JB, WDJ
