Two individuals were stabbed dead while three others were injured during an altercation over loud music at Purok Florenceville in Bacolod City’s Barangay Pahanocoy on Wednesday night, November 20.

Police Station 8 identified the fatalities as 49-year-old Richard Orita and his relative, Rolando Pigollo.

Police Captain Greeky Cayao said the victims and Orita’s three children were having a drinking session and playing loud music in their house.

The 67-year-old suspect asked them to lower the volume of their music.

However, they allegedly went to the suspect’s house and hit him with a stone.

The suspect, a construction worker, allegedly attacked the victims with a bolo.

Cayao said Orita succumbed to three stab wounds while Richie sustained a stab wound in the leg.

They were rushed to the hospital but were dead on arrival.

A murder weapon was recovered in a follow-up operation.

Meanwhile, the suspect, who sustained injuries during the commotion, was arrested after the incident.

Homicide charges will be filed against him, police said./WDJ
