Bacolodnon Samjosef Belangel stepped up on the offensive end as the Daegu Korea Gas Corporation Pegasus prevailed over the Seoul Samsung Thunders, 76-70, in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) at the Daegu Gymnasium over the weekend.

Pegasus head coach Kang Hyuk said he was pleased with their 2-1 win-loss start this season, which is the result of their lengthy preparation and familiarization during the offseason.
“The game went as planned,” Kang said.
“During the off-season, we had a lot of training. We often give up breakthroughs. Our confidence grew as we played in the preseason competition. It seems like we got used to it,” he said.
“I think we overcame the early hurdles because we approached the game with confidence. We caused the opponent to make mistakes. It was definitely successful,” he added.
Kofi Coburn finished with a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds, while Lee Jung Hyun contributed 10 markers as the Thunders dropped to a 0-3 record.
Meanwhile, Carl Tamayo’s 19-point performance went to waste as the Changwon LG Sakers (3-1) suffered their first defeat of the season at the expense of the Goyang Sono Skygunners (3-0), 82-77.
