A total of 150 job order and regular employees from the San Carlos City Agriculture Office underwent random drug testing on Monday, October 14.
San Carlos Mayor Renato Gustilo announced that the random drug testing was organized by the San Carlos City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (SCCADAC), in collaboration with San Carlos Doctor’s Hospital, which conducted the testing procedures.
Gustilo said SCCADAC is responsible for selecting the departments within the city government to undergo random drug testing.
He emphasized that the importance of this initiative is to maintain a drug-free workplace.
Gustilo also noted that the results of the drug tests are eagerly awaited, stating that any job order employees who test positive for illegal substances will be immediately removed from their positions.
The random drug testing initiative is funded annually with a budget of P1 million, reflecting the city’s commitment to promoting a safe and healthy work environment for its employees./JB, WDJ
