Operatives of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized more than P3 million in illegal drugs in week-long operations, including the P1.394 million recovered from a lone suspect yesterday morning.

A buy-bust at almost 1:00 a.m. led to the arrest of alias “Lando” at his residence in Purok San Jose 2, Barangay Sum-ag.

The high-value drug personality yielded about 205 grams of shabu pegged at P6,800 per gram, according to the report of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU).

“This arrest reflects the continued dedication of the BCPO in eradicating illegal drugs from the community,” Colonel Joeresty Coronica, city police director, said in a statement.

From September 30 to October 6, eight operations were conducted that led to the recovery of P1.659 million in shabu, including four major drug hauls.

On October 3, suspect alias “Inday,” 21 years old, was arrested in a buy-bust in Purok Langis, Barangay Banago.

Operatives of CDEU found in her possession 80 grams of shabu worth P544,000, the police report said.

In Barangay Mansilingan, alias “Jefferson” was collared by operatives of Police Station 7 in Purok Kahirup A on October 2.

The suspect yielded about 15 grams of shabu valued at P102,000.

On October 1, suspect alias “Toto” was arrested during a buy-bust in Purok Magti-ayon, Barangay 10.

About 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000 were found in his possession.

The CDEU also arrested alias “Negro,” 31 years old, who yielded 70 grams of shabu valued at P476,000 during an operation in Barangay Tangub on September 30. (PNA)
