Police operatives arrested a “high-profile” suspect and seized close to P1.4 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Sibulan, Negros Oriental yesterday.

Lt. Stephen Polinar, spokesperson of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO), identified the suspect as alias Jingle, male, 36, single, and a resident of Burgos St., Poblacion 2, in Siaton town.

The suspect allegedly sold illegal drugs to undercover operatives at Purok 6 in Barangay Maslog, Sibulan, resulting in the confiscation of more or less 205 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P1.394 million.

He is now detained as illegal drug charges are being readied against him. (PNA)
