Three Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts standouts are set to realize their dreams of playing in Metro Manila after committing to the College of St. Benilde (CSB) Lady Blazers.

Middle blocker Camila Amor Bartolome, libero Rhea Tomas and utility spiker Joenil Anne Ramos have formalized their commitment with the reigning NCAA women’s volleyball tournament champions recently.

“It’s a dream come true for me to play in a school like CSB, which is known for their winning tradition in the NCAA,” Bartolome said.

“I want to be part of this team and, hopefully, reach my goal of playing in the PVL someday,” she added.

“I am grateful to the CSB management for their full trust in me and for giving me an avenue to showcase my talents,” Tomas said.

“Also, CSB is my dream school, so I am very fortunate to be able to study and play there,” she added.

“As a student and a volleyball player, I dedicate my life both in academic and sports. And given the chance to reach my dreams even more, the opportunity given to me to study in Manila, College of St. Benilde to be specific is both an honor and a privilege,” Ramos said.

Coming from the successful volleyball program of the Thunderbolts, Bartolome, Tomas and Ramos have promised to bring their winning attitude to the Lady Blazers in the NCAA women’s volleyball wars.

“The school can look forward to my dedication and strong work ethic. I am committed to meeting the team’s high standards and confident that, with the support of the coaches and CSB, I will improve and prepare for the next level of my volleyball career,” the 5-foot-11 Bartolome said.

“I will do everything when it comes to games and our trainings, to help the school maintain its winning tradition in the NCAA. Also, I do not want to waste the opportunity and the trust given to me by CSB,” the 5-foot-5 Tomas added.

“The school can look forward to my dedication to academics and sports. Growing up, I was surrounded with training, court and volleyball. They can expect that I will excel to the opportunity given to me. And to learn even more to the upcoming years together with CSB,” the 5-foot-8 Ramos said.

Bartolome, Tomas and Ramos, who were all part of Bacolod Tay Tung’s Palarong Pambansa championship runs, will begin their Lady Blazers’ careers in NCAA Season 101 by early 2026./ASC, WDJ
