University of St. La Salle (USLS)-Bacolod swimmer Juancho Michael Jamon received a citation from the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod for his bronze medal feat in the Asian Open Schools Invitational Swimming Championship in Bangkok, Thailand.

The eight-year-old Jamon was congratulated by the Sangguniang Panlungsod through a resolution authored by Councilor Em Ang last week.

According to Ang, the city council has always recognized outstanding Bacolodnons in the field of sports.

The Grade 3 student Jamon took home a bronze medal in Thailand in event 238, heat no. 2 in the age group of six, seven and eight years old.

The Asian Open Schools Invitational Swimming Championship in Bangkok, Thailand was participated in by over 600 swimmers from 14 Asian countries.

“The achievement of Juancho is an inspiration to other young and aspiring athletes of Bacolod City. The people of Bacolod join Juancho and his family in celebrating his achievement,” the resolution stated./ASC, WDJ
