Around P2 million worth of suspected shabu was confiscated while two high-value targets were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation at Purok Langis in Bacolod City’s Barangay Banago late Wednesday evening, August 28.
The arrested were identified as couple, 23-year-old Rachell Sampayan, a resident of the village’s Purok Langis; and 24-year-old Echero Baldelovar of Barangay 3’s Purok Tilapya.
Operatives seized a total of nine sachets of suspected shabu, weighing about 315 grams, valued at P2.142 million.
The suspects were allegedly selling shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P1,000, a report from the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) said.
CDEU chief, Colonel Antonio Benitez, said the suspects were on their drug watchlist.
The couple, now detained in the Police Station 3 custodial facility, will be charged with the violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./JB, WDJ
