The Negros ICC Blue Hawks are back on their winning ways in the 2024 MPVA Season after a 25-23, 25-23 and 25-19 sweep of the Marikina Lady Shoemasters at the STRIKE Gym in Bacoor, Cavite on Wednesday, August 28.
Andrea Caparal continued her consistent performance for the Blue Hawks as she tallied 13 points on 11 attacks, one block and a service ace as they improved to a 3-2 win-loss slate.
Caparal, who was averaging 10 points per game for the Blue Hawks, said they were determined to bounce back after being swept by the Biñan Tatak Gel 1-Pacman Partylist Volley Angels on Monday, August 26.
“Nanggaling kami sa talo [against Biñan], kaya talagang pinaghandaan namin itong laro na ito, kasi hindi kami pwedeng matalo ng dalawang sunod,” Caparal said on her Player of the Game interview.
On the other hand, the Lady Shoemasters suffered their second defeat in as many matches.
The Quezon Tangerines notched their third win in as many matches after a 28-30, 25-23, 25-18, 19-25, 15-9 victory against the Volley Angels, which dropped to a 2-2 mark.
