The NLEX Road Warriors started their campaign in the PBA Governors’ Cup on the right note.
Star guard Robert Bolick was a rebound shy of a triple-double when he helped import Myke Henry lift NLEX over Blackwater, 104-87, on Thursday, August 22, at Araneta Coliseum.
Bolick registered 24 points, 11 assists and nine boards to go along with two steals, while Henry had 31 points, 10 rebounds and three assists for the winning cause.
The Bossing, after the loss, have fallen to a 0-2 win-loss card.
Meanwhile, the TNT Tropang Giga leaned on a massive 31-16 third quarter to escape Philippine Cup champs Meralco Bolts, 93-73.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson was at the forefront of TNT’s balanced scoring with 25 markers, while Rey Nambatac (16 points), Poy Erram (15 points), Calvin Oftana (14 points), and Glenn Khobuntin (10 points) completed the supporting cast.
