Bacolod City Legal Office head Atty. Romeo Carlos Ting, Jr. has been assigned as officer-in-charge (OIC) of the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO).
City administrator Lucille Gelvolea said Ting would manage BTAO for two weeks, effective Monday, July 29.
Gelvolea said BTAO head Patrick Lacson filed a paid vacation leave for a trip abroad until August 15.
She clarified that Ting’s temporary designation as BTAO OIC has nothing to do with the calls of the transport groups to replace Lacson.
She added that Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez is looking for a qualified city official to supervise BTAO, and for the implementation of the Bacolod Traffic and Transport Management Department next year./WDJ
