A school principal in Negros Occidental’s Moises Padilla town was in critical condition after he fell from the ladder while cleaning the roof of his classroom on Sunday afternoon, July 28.
Ian Arnold Arnaiz, Department of Education (DepEd) Negros Occidental public information officer, said 61-year-old Reynaldo Mojares, principal of Guinpana-an Elementary School, returned to the school to ensure preparations for the opening of classes on Monday, July 29.
He climbed the roof using a ladder, because he found the remaining leaves and cleaned them.
When Mojares got off, the ladder slid and fell.
The principal sustained injuries to the head and his back.
Arnaiz said Mojares is now at a hospital in Bacolod City, where he is currently undergoing treatment./JB, WDJ
