The Alfredo E. Marañon Sr. Memorial District Hospital (AEMSMDH) in Negros Occidental’s Sagay City and Cauayan District Hospital have reached full capacity and are temporarily unable to accept new patients.
Both hospitals issued an advisory following the surge in the number of patients arriving at their emergency room and wards since July 27, exceeding their full bed capacity.
The number of patients coming to AEMSMDH has greatly increased, the hospital management said in its advisory.
The management of both hospitals is urging residents to seek alternative healthcare facilities.
However, the two hospitals will continue to cater to patients with “extreme cases” that require immediate attention.
The management will give updates as soon as the situation changes./JB, WDJ
