The Negros Occidental provincial government is set to present the Negros First CyberCentre as the regional center for the newly-created Negros Island Region (NIR).
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said the Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center will be transferred to its new office in Talisay City, and its vacated space in CyberCentre will be converted to become one of NIR’s regional offices.
Once NIR becomes operational next year, CyberCentre will house some of NIR’s regional government offices.
The establishment of regional offices is expected to boost economic growth and development in NIR, creating jobs and improving the lives of residents.
The CyberCentre, located in Bacolod City, is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with modern technology and infrastructure.
Negros Occidental is poised to play a more significant role in the region’s growth and development, making it an important hub for economic activity and government services./JB, WDJ
