The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has allocated a budget of P44 million for the rehabilitation of the passenger terminal building of the Bacolod-Silay Airport.
CAAP said the budget has been approved for the rehabilitation project, which is expected to be completed within 360 calendar days.
A pre-bidding conference for the project is scheduled on July 2, followed by the opening of bids on July 16.
The rehabilitation project aims to develop the airport building’s roofing, ceiling panels, lighting fixtures and existing tiles, as well as the chilled water pipe and air-conditioning ducting insulation.
It is expected to enhance the airport’s facilities and services, making it more attractive to airline companies, and will also provide jobs to stimulate economic and tourism growth in Western Visayas.
