Kiefer Ravena has bid farewell to the Shiga Lakes after three seasons as he is set to join the Yokohama B-Corsairs for the 2024-2025 Japan B.League Division 1 Season slated later this year.
The Iloilo City-native Ravena expressed gratitude to the Shiga management, their players and supporters for making him feel at home for the past three Japan B.League seasons.
“To my Shiga Lakes family, thank you for always supporting me in all our games. I felt the energy and support for three years,” the former Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles guard said.
“Shiga will always be home for me. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to play in front of you guys! I will always be proud to play for the Lakes,” he added.
Ravena averaged 12.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.1 block for the Lakes last season, leading the team to the 2023-2024 Division 2 Season championship.
He is very excited to begin a new chapter in his B.League career with the B-Corsairs, which tapped him as the Asian Quota Player in lieu of Koshigaya Alphas-bound Kai Sotto.
“I am very much excited to play for Yokohama B-Corsairs. This will be a new chapter in my career, and I hope I am able to bring my experience and competitiveness to the team,” Ravena said.
“I am excited to meet and play for the boosters and make a run for the championship,” the former NLEX Road Warriors guard added.
Before joining the B-Corsairs, Ravena will first play for the Strong Group Athletics-Pilipinas in the 43rd William Jones Cup scheduled from July 13 to 21, 2024, in Taipei, Taiwan./ASC, WDJ
