A Grade 11 student was shot to death inside his house in Bacolod City’s Barangay Granada on Sunday night, June 2.

Police identified the fatality as 20-year-old Nicus Balagusa.

Police Station 5 commander Captain Portia Nillosan said Balagusa was playing billiards outside his house when two armed individuals disembarked from a sedan.

The student ran into his room accompanied by his parents.

The suspects forcibly entered the room and shot him multiple times.

Balagusa was declared dead in a hospital after sustaining four bullet wounds.

Three fired cartridge cases of a .45 caliber firearm and two deformed slugs were recovered from the crime scene.

Nillosan said Balagusa and the daughter of one of the suspects knew each other.

They have identified one of the suspects, but refused to identify him pending the investigation.

She added that the suspects reportedly had three other companions who served as lookouts in the incident.

An investigation is ongoing./JB, WDJ
