Three individuals died after their motorcycle crashed into a rescue vehicle at Barangay 1 in Negros Occidental’s Kabankalan City on Monday, May 13.

Kabankalan police chief Captain Joelan Vinson identified the fatalities as 35-year-old motorcycle driver Glenn Ramirez of Barangay Oringao, 21-year-old Brix Rallos of Barangay Hilamonan, and 31-year-old Joeven Pineda of Nueva Ecija.

Vinson said Ramirez reportedly failed to see the traffic enforcer, signaling a full stop to all vehicles to give way to the rescue vehicle of Barangay Camingawan, which was transporting a patient to a district hospital.

He reportedly followed the traffic lights and crossed the road, resulting in a collision.

Vinson said the ambulance occupants were unharmed.

The victims were brought to Lorenzo Memorial District Hospital but were declared dead on arrival.

The rescue vehicle driver is now detained at the Kabankalan police station./JB, WDJ
