More than 500 uniformed personnel from the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) will secure the much-anticipated Panaad sa Negros Festival 2024 from April 15 to 21.

NOCPPO spokesperson Colonel Abegael Donasco said that they are prepared to secure the festival and maintain a safe environment for the attendees.

Donasco also emphasized the importance of public cooperation for a smooth and incident-free celebration.

“We hope they cooperate through their actions, ensuring they do not cause any disturbances throughout the festival,” Donasco said in a statement.

The police personnel will secure festival sites, including the main venue, Panaad Stadium.

The inter-agency coordination team will ensure smooth communication and collaboration between various law enforcement and emergency response agencies during the event.

This year’s Panaad sa Negros will highlight the provincial government’s collaboration with the farmers’ association Multi-Sectoral Alliance for Development, as part of their commitment to food security.

With the theme “Living the Promise,” the annual festival aims to showcase how Negrenses live up to their promises.
