A shopping mall in Negros Occidental’s San Carlos City was ransacked on Saturday morning, March 30.

San Carlos City Police Station said the suspects carted away P450,600 worth of cash, dry goods, food items, and electronic devices from the mall.

Authorities said the stolen items include four laptop units, 19 mobile phone units, fragrances, two backpacks, and assorted pasalubong items.

An initial investigation showed the suspects broke into the mall by destroying the airconditioning vent, as the establishment had no alarm system.

San Carlos police chief, Major Ryan Villasario, said they have already identified three “persons of interest” in the burglary.

An inside job was also seen in the incident, police said./WDJ
