An ambulance driver and a patient died in a vehicular accident along the national highway at Barangay Bug-ang in Negros Occidental’s Toboso town on Wednesday night, March 6.

The fatalities were identified as 56-year-old ambulance driver Richard Cordova and 41-year-old patient Elojaylo Bayona.

Toboso police said the ambulance was en route to Sagay City, when the driver lost control of the vehicle on a curved section of the national highway, causing it to veer off the road.

Cordova and Bayona were rushed to Lopez District Farmers Hospital where they were declared dead on arrival./JB, WDJ
