More than P1 million worth of suspected shabu was seized in a drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Mambulac in Negros Occidental’s Silay City on Friday, March 1.

The operation led to the arrest of 58-year-old widow Mary Ann Lim, a resident of the village’s Purok Ipil-ipil.

The city police’s drug enforcement team confiscated nine sachets of suspected shabu, weighing 163 grams, worth P1,108,400.

Lim was being monitored for several months before the operation, police said.

The suspect is now in police custody.

She will be facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./JB, WDJ
