The Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) suspended a traffic enforcer for not wearing a helmet while backriding on a motorcycle.

BTAO head Patrick Lacson said the suspension comes after a photo was posted on social media, showing the traffic aide, a job order casual.

The motorcycle driver wore a helmet, while the enforcer did not.

“Kalaw-ay gid nga amon battle cry, ‘Usar gid helmet sa Bacolod City,’ tapos ang traffic enforcer mismo ang wala gasunod,” Lacson said.

He said the suspension took effect on Monday, February 26, pending a final decision for termination.

Lacson said they have issued guidelines for traffic enforcers, including traffic laws.

The suspended traffic enforcer was previously being complained about while he was on duty, he said./MS, WDJ
