The former Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) director has formally stepped in as the new head of the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO-6).

Brigadier General Jack Wanky has replaced Brigadier General Sidney Villaflor as PRO-6 regional director effective Thursday, February 15.

Villaflor is reassigned as acting director of the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) Human Resource and Doctrine Development.

Wanky, who hails from Benguet province’s Buguias town, was part of the PNP Academy Class of 1992, and also served as its executive officer.

He was also the former head of the PNP Aviation Security Group.

Wanky was the former BCPO director from February to October 2017./DGB, WDJ
