A 55-year-old man was shot dead at Barangay Salamanca in Negros Occidental’s Toboso town yesterday morning.

The victim was identified as Allan Macasling Sr., a resident of the village’s Sitio Banquerohan.

Five individuals have been implicated, but their identities remain unknown at present, police said.

According to initial reports, Macasling was working at his fishpond when one of the suspects suddenly brandished a weapon and shot him.

Authorities are conducting a pursuit operation to apprehend the suspects behind the killing./JB, WDJ
