A residential fire at Purok Kagaykay in Bacolod City’s Barangay 2 yesterday afternoon left an estimated P1.5 million worth of damage, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Bacolod said.

BFP-Bacolod commander, Senior Fire Officer Jereck Barbas, said ten houses were destroyed while two suffered damage during the blaze.

There were no reported injuries or casualties in the fire, he said.

The fire, which lasted for 20 minutes, reached second alarm, indicating its severity in the residential area.

The BFP is currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire./JB, WDJ
