The deadline for filing of business permits and licenses at the Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) in Bacolod City will be extended until February 15.
The Sangguniang Panlungsod passed a resolution on Wednesday, January 17, which extends the deadline for business permits filing.
Stela Rose Rayos, Business Permits and Licensing Office head, in her letter to Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, requested the extension to accommodate businesses that have yet to be registered.
Rayos said the BOSS is supposed to be terminated after January 20, in accordance with City Ordinance 565.
However, only 12,124 business establishments in the city have been registered as of yesterday, out of 25,393 registered establishments in 2023.
A total of 13,269 businesses have not yet registered, besides new applicants, she explained.
Penalties will not be imposed on the payment of business taxes made from January 21 to February 15./MS, WDJ
