The Bacolod City government created a task force that could strengthen the tax collection system in the city.
Task Force Revenue — formed under Executive Order (EO) 61, signed by Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez last year — will formulate action plans to expedite and hit the city government’s collection target, including revenue collection and real property tax.
Local government units, under Republic Act 7160, are tasked to maximize efforts to effectively collect all tax dues, more particularly real property taxes, Benitez said in his EO.
Benitez added that this mandate will also strengthen the collection system of local revenues and to enhance the city’s capability in delivering essential services to constituents.
