A total of P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu was seized in three separate anti-illegal drug operations in Negros Occidental.
Authorities arrested an individual at Purok Neptune in Bacolod City’s Barangay Singcang-Airport on Friday afternoon, January 5, after the confiscation of suspected shabu — heat-sealed in six small transparent sachets and 14 big plastic sachets — weighing 76 grams, valued at P516,000.
The arrested individual is currently detained at the custodial facility.
Meanwhile, the Bacolod City Police Office Police Station 5 arrested two residents, a high-value and a street-level individual (SLI), at Capitol Subdivision after they allegedly sold suspected shabu to an undercover police officer at 6:05 p.m. on Saturday, January 6.
Law enforcement officers seized 21 sachets of suspected shabu, totaling approximately 86 grams, with an estimated street value of P584,800, along with other non-drug items from the suspects.
Charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against them.
On the same date, an SLI was taken into custody during a buy-bust operation at Barangay 13 in Negros Occidental’s Victorias City.
An estimated P204,000 worth of suspected shabu, weighing 30 grams; a .38 caliber revolver and ammunition and buy-bust money were recovered from his possession.
The arrested individual is currently under the custody of the city police./JB, WDJ
