The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) will coordinate with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) after one of the suspects in the alleged molestation video was seen smoking a pipe.
Lt. Colonel Ronnie Brillo, BCPO spokesperson and deputy director for operations, said they will conduct an investigation into the incident.
He affirmed that they are not monitoring any presence of party drugs in the city.
Brillo said they will also deepen their investigation into the restobar to find out how the establishment failed to recognize that they were allegedly serving alcoholic drinks to minors as the restrictions are in place.
Earlier, Barangay 7 chairman Hercy Sibug said they will recommend the closure of the restobar, where a criminology student allegedly sexually molested a minor last December 8.
Sibug said the closure is intended to address issues in business establishments, including serving alcoholic beverages to minors.
Police Captain Glenn Montaño, BCPO Police Station 2 commander, said the victim was not aware of the incident, but she was surprised when a video, where she was seen sleeping beside the suspect, surfaced on social media.
The student was also seen allegedly touching her while they were in a drinking session.
Rape charges in relation to the Republic Act (RA) 8353 and RA 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act have already been filed against the suspect./DGB, WDJ
