The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) confiscated a total of P71 million worth of illegal drugs from April 18 to November 18 of this year.
BCPO director, Colonel Noel Aliño said the positive result of the operation is in line with BCPO’s aggressive anti-illegal drug campaign that will strengthen the war on drugs.
Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez commended BCPO for their accomplishments in the war against illegal drugs.
“The successful operation not only signifies BCPO’s unwavering commitment to eliminate the drug menace, but also serves as a testament to the effectiveness of their strategies and the dedication of their personnel,” Benitez said.
He also acknowledged BCPO’s vital role in making the city safer.
“The BCPO, under the astute leadership of Aliño, has once again proven their mettle by removing a significant quantity of illegal drugs from our streets,” Benitez said.
“This operation is a testament to their unwavering commitment to our safety,” he added.
Among the successful anti-drug operations was the confiscation of 3.02 kilograms of illegal drugs worth P20.53 million in Barangay Singcang-Airport on October 17.
The BCPO arrested Jummel Camento, a high-value individual and a member of the Caunda Drug Group./MS, WDJ
