Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez has already named the new city administrator following the resignation of Atty. Pacifico Maghari III earlier this month.
Benitez designated Lucille Gelvolea, Economic Enterprise Division head of the Negros Occidental provincial government, as the new city administrator.
However, Benitez is yet to issue a formal appointment order for Gelvolea.
The mayor said Gelvolea will assume the post tentatively on December 1, as she will process her resignation documents at the provincial capitol.
Gelvolea was one of Benitez’s consultants for special projects and economic affairs of the city government.
The mayor added that what he wants for a city administrator is the one who can implement programs and projects.
