The newly-elected barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials in Bacolod City will officially assume their posts on Saturday, November 11, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Bacolod said.

DILG-Bacolod director Ma. Maredith Joy Madayag said their City Assessment and Transition Team (CATT) will be finishing their tasks for the mass oath-taking of the newly-elected barangay and SK officials on Friday, November 10.

Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez directed acting city accountant Atty. Jeremae Ann Ceriaco to fast track the conduct of the final inventory of properties, financial records and documents (PFRDs), and money accountabilities of the previous barangay and SK officials.

Ceriaco will coordinate and collaborate with DILG-Bacolod and the CATT to conduct the following:

* final inventory and submission of the accomplished barangay and SK inventory and turnover forms by the Barangay Inventory Team and the SK Inventory Team, and the conduct of assessment and inventory by the CATT within three weeks from proclamation

* conduct final assessment and inventory of the barangay and SK PFRDs and money accountabilities

A transition period of three weeks will ensure proper and smooth turnover.

Meanwhile, DILG-Bacolod will conduct a training session for all newly-elected SK officials on Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Madayag said.

At 6:00 p.m., a mass oath-taking for the newly-elected city barangay and SK officials will be held at the SMX Convention Center.
