Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez is mulling no longer renew the contract of the job order casual employee, following complaints of allegedly being snobbish to clients of the city government.

“If one of them is proven guilty, there is no reason to renew the contract,” Benitez said.

“Kay napangita ta ang makabulig, maka-perform sang maayo para sa aton syudad,” he added.

Benitez ordered the transfer of the involved employee, who was reportedly to be unkind to a client processing a death certificate on November 3, to the Records Section of the Civil Registrar’s Office.

The job order employee was assigned to Window 3 of the Registrar’s Office.

“Wala sang may nag-ako. Wala sang may ginsinggitan kag wala man sila nangakig. This is what they told me,” Benitez said.

“I always reiterate to the employees to do what is right, be courteous in dealing with clients,” Benitez said.

He said he will just review footage from closed-circuit television cameras following the incident.

Meanwhile, city civil registrar Hermilo Pa-oyon said he is calling the complainant to come to his office and identify the government employee he is referring to./MS, WDJ
