The traffic enforcers of the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) will get reimbursements for uniform expenses.
This came after Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez directed BTAO officer-in-charge (OIC) Patrick Lacson to reimburse traffic enforcers for their uniforms.
Benitez said the enforcers told him that they were the ones paying for their uniforms after they were hired at BTAO.
“They have to pay for their uniform. So antes sila magsulod [sa BTAO], they need to shell out P3,000 for uniforms para maka-duty sila,” Benitez said.
Lacson will do the audit and validate those who were not paid, the mayor said.
There are sufficient funds for the uniforms, Lacson said.
BTAO has around 300 personnel.
Lacson explained that his management would focus on efficiency and zero corruption.
Lacson has been designated as BTAO OIC, replacing former head, Police Major Junji Liba, following an alleged corruption issue at BTAO./MS, WDJ
