Anti-drug operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office seized 3.02 kilograms of suspected shabu worth P20.536 million during a buy-bust at Purok Neptune in Barangay Singcang-Airport yesterday afternoon.

Arrested suspect Jummel “Tata” Camento, 38 years old, was tagged as a high-value individual.

The operation, led by the City Drug Enforcement Unit, was conducted two days before the highlights of the 44th MassKara Festival, which culminates this coming weekend.

The supply is believed to be for distribution during the celebration.

At around 3:15 p.m., undercover police officers purchased suspected shabu from Camento, a police report showed.

Operatives recovered from the suspect 15 plastic sachets in various sizes containing suspected shabu, still an undetermined amount of buy-bust money, and P1,500 in cash.

Each gram of suspected shabu is pegged at P6,800.

The suspect is now in the custody of Police Station 8. (PNA)
