An alleged insurgent of the New People’s Army (NPA) was arrested at Barangay San Jose in Negros Occidental’s Toboso town.

Benny Alibutdan, a resident of Sitio Sto. Niño in the said village, was arrested during a joint operation by the Toboso police and the Philippine Army’s 79th Infantry Battalion on Tuesday, October 10.

Alibutdan was nabbed for homicide charges by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by the Silay City Regional Trial Court Branch 40 on March 22, 2022.
