Three suspects, allegedly involved in the recent robbery and hold-up incidents in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, were arrested during a dragnet operation by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in the city’s Barangay Alijis on Thursday night, October 5.

Arrested were 43-year-old Rodolfo Suelan of the city’s Barangay Taculing, a former security guard; and 42-year-old Roberto delos Santos and 45-year-old Richard Parcon, both residents of Barangay Villamonte.

BCPO director, Colonel Noel Aliño, said they conducted the dragnet operations following the hot pursuit operation by the Talisay City Police Station against the suspects.

Aliño said the incident happened at a delivery hub at Barangay Zone 12 in Negros Occidental’s Talisay City at 7:50 p.m. on Thursday.

Following the coordination, Aliño immediately dispatched Task Force BCPO Bantay Holdaper and Akyat Bahay from Police Stations 6 and 7, to conduct the operation on the fleeing suspects.

The suspects were riding in a sports utility vehicle and motorcycle heading towards Bacolod.

Suelan and Delos Santos were both wearing bullet-proof vests during their arrest at 11:30 p.m.

A .357 and two .38 caliber revolvers, and several live ammunition were recovered from the suspects, who were in the custody of Talisay police station./MS, WDJ
