The Negros Occidental Provincial Development Council (PDC) approved a total of P981 million worth of programs and projects during their regular meeting at the Provincial Capitol yesterday morning.

Provincial administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz said P636 million will go to different programs, projects and activities, while P345 million will go to the provincial government’s loan amortization.

The PDC also approved several projects and programs for 2024, funded by the 20 percent Provincial Development Fund.

Among the projects include the digitization and development of the Provincial Management Information System applications and portals for interconnectivity worth P10 million; the Provincial Integrated Safe Water Program worth P52 million; and the improvement, upgrading and expansion of provincial government facilities, hospitals and other structures worth P152 million./DGB, WDJ
