A man was detained after a complaint was filed against him for alleged arson in Negros Occidental’s Kabankalan City.

Miguel Cedullo, 30 years old, of Sitio Bayhaw in the city’s Barangay Camansi, was arrested for allegedly burning his house on Thursday morning, September 14.

Kabankalan police deputy chief, Captain Jolan Vinson, said Cedullo’s house was destroyed in the fire, while a neighboring house was damaged.

There were no reported casualties or injuries in the incident.

Police said an investigation is being conducted by the local Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) unit to determine the cost of damage due to the blaze.

The BFP is also closing their investigation for inquest proceedings on the suspect./MS, WDJ
