Regular and casual employees are expected to have another good Christmas season this year after the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Negros Occidental approved the new Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) between the provincial government and the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE) on Tuesday, September 12.

PACE president, Engineer Ruben Diamante said yesterday morning, Resolution No. 1037 will be the basis for the CNA incentive bonus which will be given to rank-and-file employees of the provincial government.

The current CNA will expire in December of this year.

This is subject for renewal every three years.

Only regular and casual employees of the provincial government will receive the incentive bonus.

Diamante said the SP has given authority to Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson to sign the CNA with PACE.

It will be submitted to the Civil Service Commission and the Bureau of Labor Relations of the Department of Labor and Employment.

A new provision was also pushed to be included in the CNA, wherein qualified employees can avail special leave privileges.

Around 2,270 regular and casual capitol employees can avail of the P25,000 CNA incentive bonus.

Diamante said elected officials and department heads will also receive the bonus, which is expected to be released in December./DGB, WDJ
