PHO: NegOcc dengue cases down by 76%

Dengue cases in Negros Occidental dropped by 76.8 percent, latest data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) showed.

The PHO recorded 986 dengue cases with six deaths in the province from January 1 to September 2 of this year.

The numbers are far from the 3,124 cases logged in the same period in 2022.

San Carlos City has the highest number of cases at 123, with two fatalities.

Bago City came second with 108 cases and one death, followed by Silay City with 82 cases with one fatality.

Other local government units with notable dengue cases are Talisay City and Isabela town with 53 each, Hinigaran town with 50, and Binalbagan town with 48.
