A father was allegedly stabbed to death by his son at Barangay 3 Poblacion in Negros Occidental’s Himamaylan City early yesterday morning.
The fatality was identified as 59-year-old Fernando Jodilla Sr., a resident of Bangga Diot.
Police said an altercation happened between the father and his son, 28-year-old Fernando Jr., before the incident.
The neighbors tried to pacify them, police said.
Fernando Jr. allegedly stabbed his father in the chest using a knife.
The elder Jodilla was rushed to the Governor Valeriano M. Gatuslao Memorial Hospital in Himamaylan, but was declared dead on arrival.
Fernando Jr. was arrested in a follow-up operation by the police.
He could face parricide charges, police said./DGB, WDJ
