A pedicab driver was shot to death by a still unidentified gunman at Barangay 5 in Negros Occidental’s San Carlos City on Saturday night, August 26.

Police identified the fatality as 34-year-old Johnryl Calunsag, a resident of the city’s Barangay 3.

Based on the initial probe from the city police, Calunsag was sitting inside his pedicab in Barrio Wak-wak, when a lone gunman approached him and opened fire.

The gunman immediately fled the scene.

Calunsag was rushed to San Carlos City Hospital, but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
