A driver died after his motorcycle collided with a van along the national highway at Barangay Punta Mesa in Negros Occidental’s Manapla town on Monday, August 21.

Christopher Padilla, 33 years old, a resident of Victorias City’s Barangay 21, overtook and crashed into the van, driven by 48-year-old Haresco Darius, traveling in the opposite direction, police said.

Padilla died on the spot, while his motorcycle caught fire due to leaked gasoline. 

No charges will be filed against Darius, police said./WDJ
