A 19-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing a motor engine.

Police identified the suspect as Melbert Vargas of Barangay Punta Mesa in Negros Occidental’s Manapla town.

Tanod Grace Rabala of Barangay Punta Salong discovered the motor engine was missing at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, August 18.

The item was recovered at a junkshop in the locality.

The item was valued at P14,000, police said.

Vargas is in the custody of the town police station./MS, WDJ
