An alleged fake dentist was arrested by operatives of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Bacolod District Office in Negros Occidental’s Calatrava town on Wednesday, August 9.

Suspect Jude Labado Yanson, who allegedly operates a dental laboratory in the town, has been caught for violating the Philippine Dental Act, the NBI said.

The laboratory also manufactures tooth braces, retainers and dentures, it added.

Yanson was detained at the NBI’s detention facility.

The NBI has yet to file charges as of press time.

Philippine Dental Association in Negros Occidental president Dr. Maribel Ong said they filed a complaint against Yanson.

She said they received several complaints on the alleged complications from tooth extraction and other dental services offered by the suspect./WDJ
