A total of 2,404 employees in Negros and Siquijor islands have benefited from the Social Security System’s (SSS) Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) Campaign.
During a media briefing held in Bacolod City yesterday morning, SSS Vice President for Visayas West 1 Division Dr. Lilani Benedian said of the 265 employers they have visited as part of the campaign, 225 have already settled or complied with delinquencies in contributions.
The SSS Visayas West 1 Division covers the highly-urbanized Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental and Siquijor provinces.
The combined total delinquency amount is at P86,760,191.38, while collection is at P24,782,260.99.
Benedian told employers the importance of adhering to the provisions of Republic Act 11199, or the Social Security Act of 2018 and not withholding their employees’ SSS contributions./DGB, WDJ
