Personnel from the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) underwent drug testing yesterday morning at its headquarters in the city’s Barangay Singcang-Airport.
Police Lt. Colonel Alejandro de Guzman, a chemist from the police’s crime laboratory, said they regularly conduct drug tests on all police personnel not just in Bacolod, but also from the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.
He said that drug testing is a requirement for all members of the police force.
Around 400 urine samples were collected from BCPO personnel, which will then be sent to the crime laboratory to determine if some are using illegal drugs.
A formal report on the BCPO personnel’s results will be released this week./DGB, WDJ
